NYConnect : The World of Voice Over

NYConnect : The World of Voice Over
7 Week Class
Thursdays in September & October, starting on Sept 8th, skipping Oct 8th, until Oct 27th

I have been incredibly lucky since graduating college to have connected with and experienced so many wonderful parts that make of the New York voice over scene.  Some may say that it was luck, others may attribute it to my aptitude for risk-taking and stubborn attitude to make NY my working home. However, I would really attribute my success to a slew of incredibly opportunities, powerful connections, and strong networking (and a pinch of that risk taking c;)

After working with many students in different environments, I decided I wanted to put together a class that acts as a love letter to my experiences from an aspiring voice actress in New York to the full-time talent I am today.  I worked hard brainstorming a class that shows the culmination of all these connections and experiences I’ve had and crams it in to 7 class sessions. This class will explore several different aspects of the industry the lives in New York. Join me and a handful of wonderful guests as we explore the power of connections with ourselves, each other, and the industry around us. This class will be limited to only 8 students, with 5 amazing guests confirmed over the course of 7 classes. Classes will focus on topics such as: voice over basics, cold reads and partner reads, characterization, demo reels, building a peer support group/peer networking, and professionalism, Our guests all have special focuses as well, including Video Game, Commercials, ADR, Cartoons, and more.

Confirmed Guests include Linda Weaver of Access Talent, Andrew Allanson of Ackkstudios, Theresa Buchheister of 3Beep & Title: Point, Matt Shipman of Kocha Sound and Sam Haft.
